About Us
Fore Star Junior Golf Academy is a newly created golf academy serving Western PA junior golfers as well as adult beginners and those who just want to improve their golf skills.
Jim Beran, Director/ Instructor, is a retired PA educator and current high school varsity golf coach. Since 1999 Jim has worked as a coach / instructor with The National Junior Golf Association. Since the Director of NJGA is retiring to North Carolina, Jim has decided to continue teaching golf to juniors as well as adults under the new banner of Fore Star Junior Golf Academy.
Fore Star Junior Golf Academy has acquired the services of PA certified teachers / coaches as well as young accomplished players who have competed at the high school and college levels.
Fore Star Junior Golf Academy’s primary focus is on junior golfers ages 8 – 15, but through the years we have discovered that many parents also benefit from our instruction.
Philosophy
Fore Star Junior Golf Academy’s philosophy is simple:
· TEACH golf from the ground up in incremental stages so that the learner builds a solid foundation for the full swing.
· PROVIDE a learning environment to insure individual evaluations and personal plans for improvement.
· TEACH sound fundamentals and MONITOR each student’s progress.
· PROMOTE respect and love for the game, others, and the environment.
· PROVIDE engaging instruction and activities that will positively develop individual character, teamwork, and sportsmanship qualities.
